I’m sure the information given this website will help you if are considering studying at the Faculty of Geoinformation and Real Estate, namely in B.Sc (Remote Sensing), or Post Graduate Programmes in Remote Sensing (MSc (taught course), MSc (full research) or PhD). DRSS is relatively new department in the FGHT established in 1997, very proactive undertaking remote sensing education programmes leading to formal degrees at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The postgraduate programmes have in fact started being offered as early 1988. We are active in undertaking university-industry interactions so as to assist us gauging the relevancy of our graduates as well to lead in R&D in the related technologies and applications. Yes, in fact remote sensing has been taught in the FGHT as early as 1980 and FGHT has been pioneers in substantially contributing in the realization of Malaysian spatially information science related including the remote sensing.
DRSS is also a relatively small department and this offers many benefits; better staff-student interactions, students may find knowing each other better in this kind of scenario, thus creating harmonious, friendly apart from safe environment.
