UTM-JKR endorsed Memorandum of Agreement

Universiti Teknologi Malaysia & Jabatan Kerja Raya has contracted to collaborate in conducting post-graduate studies. This collaboration was materialised with the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement (MoA) on the 14 August 2007 at the National Facilities & Asset Management Convention (NAFAM) held in Kuala Lumpur.

UTM was represented by its Vice Chancellor, Tan Sri Prof. Ir. Dr. Mohd. Zulkifli bin Tan Sri Mohd Ghazali, whilst JKR was represented by the Director General, Dato’ Dr. Judin Abdul Karim.

The signing ceremony was witnessed by the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Yang Amat Berhormat Dato' Seri Abdullah Haji Ahmad Badawi and the Works Minister,
Yang Berhormat Dato' Seri Samy Vellu

Under the agreement, UTM will conduct the master programmes for the next 5 years in the field of Asset & Facilities Management and Project Management for JKR staff.       

The Department of Property Management of the Faculty of Geoinformation Science & Engineering (FKSG) will be involved in conducting the Masters of Asset and Facilities Management program which is expected to begin in July 2008.
