LAND ADMINISTRATION & DEVELOPMENT

The Department of Land Administration is one of five departments in the Faculty of Geoinformation and Real Estate, which offers programme in land administration and development, both at undergraduate and postgraduate level. With adequate number of staff from various fields and interest that relate to land administration and development, the department managed to produce graduates who are currently engaged either with the public or private sector.

Student enrolment in land administration and development had started since 1996 in UTM with undergraduate programme and followed by students for postgraduate level. In 1998, direct entry students from diploma programme were the first graduates in Bachelor of Science (Land Administration and Development) programme. Two years later, this programme has succeeded to produce its first graduates through the eight (8) semesters of teaching and learning process which started since 1996.

At the early stage, this programme only offers admission opportunity to SPM and diploma holders. However, the opportunity has changed after the amendment and approval of admission requirements made in 2001. Starting from 2002/2003 session, the faculty only offers intake from the Matriculation students and STPM holders. Meanwhile, admission opportunity for diploma holders for direct entry is still maintained.
