The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS WG II-5), Conference for Multi-dimensional GIS and Mobile Data Model 2009 is an annual conference for exploring ongoing research, development and innovative applications on dynamic and multi-dimensional geographic information science and related applications. Papers should describe original research, ongoing (preferably) or recently completed.

All related papers will be reviewed by an international scientific committee. This conference aims to discuss about the current academic research that been conducted by each Geoinformatics (GIS) postgraduate students, and international researchers with some effort to give them some exposure and equipped themselves with the skills on writing conference papers for producing a top-notch researchers for the universities and industries. In this conference, students and researchers can share and exchange their knowledge with others and also they will get some motivation along doing their researches.By exposing their results (partial or final) to the conference attendance, the authors are likely to receive valuable comments and suggestions, find potential users, partners, or collaborators, avoid duplication of efforts, and increase the community's interest for their line of research works.

The attendants, in turn, gain a better view of what is currently happening in the field, and a preview of what could be the hot developments and research topics a few years from now. The International Society for Photogrammetry and Remote Sensing (ISPRS WG II-5), Conference for Multi-dimensional GIS and Mobile Data Model 2009 also aims to bring to local leading GIS and spatial database researchers, to present to the GIS community a perspective of the state-of-the-art in the area.
